I didn't want to give too much away about my IRL situation, but the fence has been busted for a long time. In 2020 there was going to be a community/city project to fix it, but the pandemic happened. Then various storms and whatnot made a piece of the fence just fall over which is a huge safety hazard I've lost sleep over lol. But it costs thousands to fix and we don't make that money, which is really bad because the city has been getting on us about how if it isn't fixed by a certain span of time, they might take the house and shit. (I don't know the legalese but yes, they can do this...)

So we're fucked. UNTIL. Some lady moved in next door and my mother was dead convinced she hates us because she built a mini fence in her front yard to divide our lawns (?!???) (our lawn is ugly lol). But then last week she was outside, saw my mother in the backyard, which isn't hard because... a part of the fence is gone... she just said that fence needs to be fixed and she'll bring her friends over to do it next week. That week is now and they've been helping a lot. Holy shit. My paycheck doesn't come until later today and it isn't much, but I am going to be giving these guys money in two weeks.

I knew the day where Thomas will say goodbye to football was approaching, but the more closer we get to that point, it gets harder to accept the truth.

I've never been good at parting ways, this is something I repeat a lot. Thomas has been a player who ever since I watched football, has just always been there. It was even saddening to see his appearances become mere minutes the last few seasons at Bayern. I also talked about my thoughts on his contract renewals at that club.

I've also never called myself a Bayern fan, I usually do not like teams that "dominate" their leagues. I know it's kind of a deadbeat saying now, "Serie A is the best because the championship is actually a race", but it's true. Last year, with Tuchel it seemed like a new domination of Leverkusen was coming; however, with nearly 10 points of difference with the occupiers of the 1st spot in the standings (as of 20 April), I think that wind has passed away some time ago.

For that reason, Thomas has not been shown the same amount of respect a player has for "his" club, they give to other players like Reus for Dortmund -- who stayed even if they passed their rather successful era with Klopp. But I think, it's why Thomas has been ever more special, because no matter how much the whole squad changed from the time he started, Thomas has been integral.

People often undermine Thomas because he’s always been surrounded by a “good” squad of available top players in the world, so his importance is always undermined. But he always shows his difference when he’s subbed in, and you always realize his vacancy when they don’t start him.

There’s a reason he’s always been around for 15~ years for Bayern, when many players came and left.

This is what I said in my Tumblr blog last year, and I still stand by it.

There is no competing with how fiery his passion is for the game, for the club that even with that side of his, Thomas shows us that he's from the by-gone era of football. I'm mostly romanticizing it, but it's been said many times that at the peak of his career, Premiere Leauge clubs sought for him and he stayed at Bayern.

That also warrants another topic to talk about that is his private life.

It's not all sadness though. Even with his final appearance with Bayern in the CL, he's now sharing the record of most appearances in CL with Messi out of all people, in 3rd spot.

The legend you are, Thomas Müller. I will remember you well.

in a sequel to this post about tdwp2, I decided to come up with a bunch of ways they can sneak a little canon mirandy into tdwp2 movie (including the idea in my original post)

Miranda has to make a call late at night so we see her in bed with her glasses then the camera pans over to Andy half naked in bed beside her, sleepily asking what's happening.
Miranda end a call saying "I love you too" then have Nigel go "oh how is Six anyway?" to be greeted with an eye roll. So simple.
scene: the den. Miranda is tired and working on something. We hear the door open elsewhere in the townhouse and footsteps approaching only to be met with Miranda saying, “You’re late.” In an annoyed voice. “Really? You’re going to complain about me working late?” Andy says off screen before walking into frame and sitting down beside Miranda on the couch. She wraps her arms around her and kisses her cheek, “I’m sorry.” To which Miranda replies, “I suppose I can think of some way you can make it up to me Andrea.” Andy grins.
Miranda attends some party. Someone asks her vaguely about her partner and she says Andrea is off on assignment overseas covering something for some news paper (not the mirror, somewhere bigger)

I saw some people making lists of 100 formative books or other media to see how many of them other people have read, so I decided to jump on the bandwagon! But I did all kinds of media in one list, which was both way harder than I expected to get to 100 and yet I feel like I've missed a lot of important things I just can't remember off the top of my head lmao.

I included stuff from my teen years, so anything that influenced me as a kid or I was obsessed with as a teen. There's probably a lot of old books I've missed, I used to read a loooot of series like Animorphs, Goosebumps, etc. for older elementary/middle grade readers that had like 500 books in a series. Lots of typical 90s kid stuff, I filled up a lot of spots with Disney and other animated movies. I noticed when adding my favorite old anime and manga that a ton of it had to do with gay stuff, crossdressing, or gender fuckery, which looking back is like lol. It's fitting that Adolescence of Utena got the first spot because that movie rewired my brain when I saw it in what, 5th grade? Video games were tough to narrow down too because I still think back fondly on a lot of PS1/PS2 games that I still consider faves.

Anyway, if anyone plays, let me know how many you get! Which of you would've matched my freak if we'd met in high school.

I just finished AAI2 and already bought the Apollo Trilogy. Damn, Ace Attorney really hooked me so bad.

Damn, Gura's really graduating from Hololive... and the fact that her reason was due to disagreements with management and the company's direction just makes the whole thing feel iffy. You can even hear it in her voice—she sounds like she's holding back tears :( What the hell is going on with Cover???? I wonder if this is the end of the Hololive era, at least in the English sphere. Shame that 4chan is down, I really wanted to see the shitstorm in /vt/.

Been replaying FE PoR and I seriously can't stress enough how much I freaking love the worldbuilding—especially how they handle the war themes. The characters just act like real people and there’s so much raw emotion packed in.

It's honestly really funny when people get hysterical or super reactionary about incest in media. Like yeah, incest is creepy, but it’s not this hardcore fetish like people assume. It’s honestly tame, it’s like entry-level taboo/transgressive genre/fetish content. If you can stomach violence and horror, surely you can stomach incest even if you're not into it.

Also, I just wrote some headcanon about Sakiko (Avemuji)—feel free to read it if anyone who likes Avemuji is interested!

I also just bought Lao Gan Ma chili oil (black bean & chili crisp flavor), and people weren’t lying—it is FREAKING GOOD. I legit got addicted and even ate it straight from the jar LOL. To me, the black bean version is best used as an ingredient or condiment for stir-fry dishes, while the chili crisp one works better as a topping or dipping sauce. Definitely going to buy again, but I think I’ll stick to the chili crisp version since it’s my absolute favorite lol.

I lowkey want to re-read Citrus. I used to dislike it because it felt so melodramatic, but now I kinda want to give it another shot. There must be a reason why it was so well-loved by JP yuri fans. My memory of it is a bit hazy, though.

Gigi Andalucia is the most Indonesian-sounding Gundam character ever. It’s so middle-high class Jakartan core.

The target demographic of TCOAAL being women who are into true crime (said by Nemlei herself) really explains why the vibes are like that. Also, Andrew is 1000% catering to a very specific female demographic with very specific fetishes.

Okay, so I finally got Saitom-sensei’s artbook -Rakuentenshi/楽園天使-, which mostly features Rakuen Tsuihou artwork—some of which was previously posted on Twitter and some that hasn’t been released publicly. This artbook was super limited and, if I’m not mistaken, was sold at the last COMITIA. I think I ordered it in early January, so it must’ve been the Winter COMITIA.

Anyway, I was so excited to get this artbook because I’ve always wanted to have a Saitom-sensei artbook on my shelf. I’ve been a fan of his work since Rakuen Tsuihou and Xenoblade 2 (though even before XB2, I already liked his bishoujo figures and would love to own one someday).

A couple exchanges I'm excited for.

Saturday Morning Exchange- Animated media focus. Nominations close on April 18th at 1pm Eastern, I think. Cartoons are a bit less popular in exchanges, so I'm really excited for this one because of how important a few are to me! And the minimum is only 500 words which feels very manageable.

Seasons of Drabbles - Drabble exchange! Nominations are open and will continue throughout signups, which I think end on the 28th. I've been missing... I think it was called Multifandom Drabble? For a while, so it's always nice to see alternatives pop up. Drabble word count limits are always soooooo good for challenging my creativity. I may not sign up for this round because the narrow timeline during a very busy few weeks, even though drabbles are such a low commitment, but we'll see. I still hope to keep an eye on things.

Diegetic Exchange - Focused on in-universe RPF, social media, fanfiction, and other in-universe documents. Nominations close on the 26th and the minimum is only 500 words. I LOVED a similar exchange a while back, Unconventional Fanworks, so I'm really stoked for this. I have a few fandoms that work particularly well due to the characters being public figures, like in Hacks and Yellowjackets, it would be so fun to see stuff for.

Early Bird Gets the Word - Exchange for small and inactive fandoms. Noms open in a few days and close on the 30th. Another I'm not sure I can join because the deadline but I imagine there'll be quite a few PHs or treat opportunities, so I'll have to nominate some things just in case.
