read naomi novik's spinning silver at the start of the month, which i had mixed feelings about. no real critiques - it was solidly entertaining, not quite my id but still fun. mostly i think i'm disappointed that a book about three women's lives being inextricably bound by magic wasn't nearly as femslashy as i'd hoped.
