deadfinch: (maleficent: aurora)

read naomi novik's spinning silver at the start of the month, which i had mixed feelings about. no real critiques - it was solidly entertaining, not quite my id but still fun. mostly i think i'm disappointed that a book about three women's lives being inextricably bound by magic wasn't nearly as femslashy as i'd hoped.

but! i liked the idea of wanda/miryem, so here are 3 wanda/miryem recs for you, no commentary because i'm lazy but hey, that's what the summary's for:

And Ruth said: 'Entreat me not to leave thee, and to return from following after thee; for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge; thy people shall be my people; and thy orgasms shall be my orgasms.'

In a world in which Miryem never mentions she can spin silver into gold, Wanda moves in with the Mandelstams, survives famine, and tries to make all her dreams of stability, family, and love come true.
